On June 29, 2017, Fernando Silva successfully defended his PhD thesis and received the highest distinction for his work on “Evolutionary Online Behaviour Learning and Adaptation in Robotic Systems”. The jury was composed of Prof. Nuno Lau from the University of Aveiro, Prof. Micael Couceiro from the University of Coimbra, Prof. Sara Madeira from FCUL, Prof. André Falcão from FCUL, president of the jury Prof. Nuno Neves from FCUL, and supervisor Anders Lyhne Christensen from BioMachines Lab.
