Control of Aquatic Drones for Maritime Tasks (CORATAM)
The sea represents one of Portugal’s main resources. Novel ways of exploring and exploiting maritime opportunities are of particular interest given the proposed expansion of Portugal’s continental shelf. Land-based and air-based swarm robotics systems have been subjected to an extensive study but, that reality does not hold true for swarms in an aquatic environments, mainly because it is an […]

Control of Aquatic Drones for Maritime Tasks (CORATAM) The sea represents one of Portugal’s main resources. Novel ways of exploring and exploiting maritime opportunities are of particular interest given the proposed expansion of Portugal’s continental shelf. Collectives of aquatic drones have the potential to take on essential tasks such as prospecting sites for aquaculture, environmental monitoring, sea life localization, […]

Aquatic Drones — First Tests Teaser
After the first water tests on ISCTE and Campo Grande lakes, here are the some shots of the drones in the water. We were able to collect new information from sensors and propulsion systems, which will help us improve and model the drone in simulation.
