Description
The Pulsar PG2200BiS’s dual-fuel technology lets it put out 120V and gives it a lot of power and flexibility. If it is powered by gasoline, the device has a running power of 1,800W and a starting power of 2,200W. If it’s powered by propane, it gives 1600 watts at full power and 2000 watts when starting up. The device can also work in parallel (PGiPAIRB2 parallel kit not included), so it can be connected to a similar or compatible unit for more power. The pull-start mechanism on the inverter generator is simple and old-fashioned. It can make up to 60 dBA of noise (just as noisy as background music). With a fuel capacity of 1.2 gallons, the PG2200BiS can run for about 8 hours at 0.5 load on a full tank of gasoline (fuel consumption is approximately 0.15 GPH). With propane, it can go for up to 20 hours (on a 20 lbs tank – propane consumption around 0.24 GPH). As the PG2200BiS makes a clean sine wave with a Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of 3%, you can safely plug sensitive electronics into the AC outlets.
Outlets
On the control panel, there are two 120V 20A duplex outlets (5-20R).
In addition, it has 1 DC outlet and a 5V USB port that makes it easy to charge devices like cell phones and tablets.Features
The lights tell you if there isn’t enough oil, if the generator is ready, and if the generator is overloaded.
For safety, the generator has an automatic low oil shut-off and an overload protection (circuit breaker), so you can use it without worrying. The Pulsar PG2200BiS comes with the usual paperwork and an owner’s manual , which lets you start it right away.It also comes with a propane hose, a tool kit, oil, and a funnel.Mobility
The Pulsar PG2200BiS is an inverter generator with a case that is 18 inches long, 12 inches wide, and 20 inches high.
So, it looks better than most other products with open frames. The design fits with what’s popular now and is perfect for generating power for fun.The PG2200BiS’s dry weight of 54 lbs lets you use it anywhere you might need to.Also, moving the PG2200BiS from point A to point B is made easier by its built-in handle, which gives you a much better grip.Product Videos

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
The California, USA-based Pulsar Products Inc.
owns the trademark Pulsar. The company has a respectable selection of air compressors, pressure washers, and generators, which vary in power from 1,2 kW to 10 kW and come in dual fuel and RV-Ready models. The US is home to a number of Pulsar facilities, including two distribution centers, one in Illinois and one in California. However, it appears that Asia is where they outsource the production of their goods.Warranty Information
A warranty covers the Pulsar PG2200BiS for up to a year.
This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Pulsar generators come with a warranty that you can learn more about by calling Pulsar Customer Support at 1-866-591-8921.
