Description
The gasoline-powered 224 cc OHV 4-stroke engine is the heart of the Champion 200954. It has a 120V output and a running power of 3,500W and a peak power of 4,250W. The device can also work in parallel (ParaLink is not included), which means it can be connected to a similar or compatible unit to get more power. The pull-start mechanism on the inverter generator is simple and old-fashioned. It is said to make 64 dBA of noise (little noisier than an office setting). The 200954 can run for up to 22 hours on a full tank of fuel, which can hold 4 gallons (fuel consumption is approximately 0.18 GPH). The 200954 makes a clean sine wave. With a Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of less than 3%, you can safely plug sensitive electronics into its AC outlets.
Outlets
On the control panel, there are 3 AC outlets: a duplex 120V 20A (5-20R) outlet and a 120V 30A (TT-30R) outlet.
It also has 1 DC outlet: a 12V 8A plug that looks like a cigarette lighter so you can easily charge your batteries.Since the unit comes with a dual port USB adapter, you can also use the DC receptacle to easily charge devices like cell phones and tablets. The TT-30R plug on this Champion generator is ready for an RV.TT stands for “Travel Trailer”.Features
The 200954 and its control panel have an Intelligauge meter that shows voltage, frequency, and the number of hours the battery will last.
This makes it easier to keep track of its status and activity. In addition to this information, the light indicators will let you know when the generator is overloaded, when it is ready to go, and when the oil level is too low.The inverter generator has a built-in fuel gauge that makes it quick, easy, and convenient to check how much gas it has. When it comes to safety, this product has an automatic low oil shut-off and an overload protection (circuit breaker), so you can use it without worry.Along with the basic paperwork and an owner’s manual, which will help you get the generator going right away, the Champion 200954 comes with a dual port USB adapter, oil, and a funnel.Mobility
The Champion 200954 is 20.9 inches long, 18.3 inches wide, and 19.4 inches high.
It has a typical open frame design that makes it stable and allows it to be raised above ground level. The design shown is great for the outdoors and other rough places. The 200954 weighs 75 pounds when it is empty, so you can use its power anywhere you need to.Also, the generator’s open frame makes it easier to hold and move from one place to another. You could also buy the official wheel kit if you want to move the 200954 more easily.Product Videos

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
A US-based producer of power equipment, Champion Power Equipment was established in 2003.
The comparatively tiny business has established a name for itself in the portable generator market as well as the larger power equipment market, with a concentration on heavy duty machinery like log cutters, snow blowers, chipper shredders, etc.Their whole product line is American-engineered.The corporation does not, however, disclose the country of origin of its parts.Warranty Information
There is a warranty on the Champion 200954 for up to 3 years.
This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Champion’s warranty policies can tell you more about how long the warranty on a Champion generator lasts. You can also call their customer service line at 1-877-338-0999.
