Description
The Champion 201056 has a 224-cc, 4-stroke, overhead valve (OHV) engine. It runs on gasoline and has a running wattage of 3,500W and a peak wattage of 4,250W. It gives off 120V. Also, the generator can be connected to a second unit to make more power (ParaLink is not included). The noise level of the inverter generator is said to be 64 dBA (just slightly more noisy than a normal conversation). It has a pull-start mechanism, which is a common way to start a motor. The 201056 can run for up to 22 hours on a full tank of 4 gallons of gas (fuel consumption is approximately 0.18 GPH). The 201056 makes a clean sine wave. With a Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of less than 3%, you can safely plug your sensitive electronics into the AC outlets.
Outlets
On the control panel, there are 3 AC outlets: a duplex 120V 20A (5-20R) outlet and a 120V 30A (TT-30R) outlet.
It also has 1 DC outlet: a 12V 8A plug that looks like a cigarette lighter so you can easily charge your batteries.Since the unit comes with a dual port USB adapter, you can also use the DC receptacle to easily charge devices like cell phones and tablets. The TT-30R plug on this Champion generator is ready for an RV.TT stands for “Travel Trailer”.Features
The Intelligauge meter on the control panel makes it easy to check on the status and activity of the 201056.
It shows voltage, frequency, and lifetime hours. In addition to this information, if the oil level is too low, a light on the device will show. The inverter generator has a built-in fuel gauge that makes it easy and quick to check the fuel level. From a safety point of view, the product has a circuit breaker for overload protection and an automatic shut-off for low oil, so you can use it without worry. The Champion 201056 comes with the basic paperwork and an owner’s manual, which makes it easy to start the generator. It also comes with a dual port USB adapter, oil, and a funnel.Mobility
The Champion 201056 is made with a typical open frame that measures L28.6 x W23.4 x H21.6 in, This gives it support and stability and gives you the option to raise it above the ground.
The device was made to work well in harsh conditions and in the great outdoors. The 201056 can go anywhere because it only weighs 80 pounds. Also, once it’s on the floor, it’s easy to move around thanks to its wheel kit (dia:8 “) and its handle that folds up.Product Videos

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
A US-based producer of power equipment, Champion Power Equipment was established in 2003.
The comparatively tiny business has established a name for itself in the portable generator market as well as the larger power equipment market, with a concentration on heavy duty machinery like log cutters, snow blowers, chipper shredders, etc.Their whole product line is American-engineered.The corporation does not, however, disclose the country of origin of its parts.Warranty Information
There is a warranty on the Champion 201056 for up to 3 years.
This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Champion’s warranty policies can tell you more about how long the warranty on a Champion generator lasts. You can also call their customer service line at 1-877-338-0999.
