Description
A 224 cc OHV 4-stroke engine powers the Champion 100892. It runs on gasoline and has a running wattage of 3,650W and a peak wattage of 4,500W. It gives off 120V. Also, since the generator can work in parallel (but doesn’t come with a parallel kit), it can be linked to a second unit to make more power. The noise level of the inverter generator is said to be 64 dBA (a little louder than background music). It has a pull-start mechanism, which is a common way to start a motor. Because it can hold 4 gallons of fuel, the 100892 can run for up to 22 hours on a full tank (it uses about 0.18 GPH). The 100892 makes a clean sine wave. With a Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of less than 3%, you can safely plug sensitive electronics into its AC outlets.
Outlets
On the control panel, there are 3 AC outlets for: Duplex 120V 20A (5-20R); 120V 30A (TT-30R) receptacle.
Also, it has 1 DC outlet: a 12V 8A receptacle that looks like a cigarette lighter. This makes it easy to charge your batteries.Since the unit comes with a dual port USB adapter, you can also use the DC receptacle to easily charge devices like cell phones and tablets. The TT-30R plug on this Champion generator is ready for an RV.TT stands for “Travel Trailer”.Features
In the control center of the 100892, there is an Intelligauge meter that shows voltage, frequency, and lifetime hours.
This helps you keep track of its status and activity. In addition to this information, the lights tell you when the generator is overloaded, when it is ready, and when the oil level is too low.The inverter generator has a built-in fuel gauge that makes it quick, easy, and convenient to check how much gas it has.As for safety features, the device has a circuit breaker for overheating and an automatic shut-off for low oil, so you can use it without worry. The Champion 100892 comes with the usual paperwork and an owner’s manual , which lets you start it right away.It also comes with a funnel, a dual-port USB adapter, oil and battery charging cables.Mobility
The Champion 100892 has a standard, open frame that measures L20.9 x W18.3 x H19.4 in, This frame gives it support and lets it be raised above the ground.
The generator is built to work well outside and in rough places. The 100892’s dry weight of 75 lbs lets you use it anywhere you need to.The generator is also easier to move because it has an open frame, which makes it easy to grab and move. You could also buy the official wheel kit if you want to move the 100892 more easily.Product Videos

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
A US-based producer of power equipment, Champion Power Equipment was established in 2003.
The comparatively tiny business has established a name for itself in the portable generator market as well as the larger power equipment market, with a concentration on heavy duty machinery like log cutters, snow blowers, chipper shredders, etc.Their whole product line is American-engineered.The corporation does not, however, disclose the country of origin of its parts.Warranty Information
There is a warranty on the Champion 100892 for up to 3 years.
This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Champion’s warranty policies can tell you more about how long the warranty on a Champion generator lasts. You can also call their customer service line at 1-877-338-0999.
