Description
The DuroMax XP7500DX’s dual-fuel technology lets it put out 120/240V and gives it a lot of power and flexibility. If it is powered by gasoline, the device has a running power of 6,500W and a starting power of 7,500W. If it runs on propane, it has a rated power of 6175 watts and a starting power of 7125 watts. The noise level of this generator is 70 dBA, which is the same as a dishwasher. It can be started with a simple pull-start or a simple and elegant electric starter (battery included). With a fuel capacity of 5.3 gallons, the XP7500DX can run for about 10 hours at 0.5 load on a full tank of gasoline (fuel consumption is approximately 0.53 GPH). It can last up to 5.3 hours if you use propane (on a 20 lbs tank – propane consumption around 0.89 GPH). Since the THD of the XP7500DX is about 12%, it is not a good idea to use it to power sensitive electronics.
Outlets
Two 120V 20A (5-20R) GFCI duplex outlets and a 120/240V 30A (L14-30R) receptacle are on the control panel.
It also has 2 DC outlets: there are two 5V USB ports (USB-A) that make it easy to charge devices like cell phones and tablets. The XP7500DX has a twist-lock L14-30R receptacle, which means it is ready for a transfer switch. It can power your home during a power outage because it is easy to connect to your breaker box.Features
The XP7500DX’s control panel has a handy meter that shows voltage, frequency, and lifetime hours.
This helps you keep track of its status and activity. In addition to this information, there is a light that lets you know when the oil level is too low.A built-in fuel gauge makes it easy and quick to check how much gas is in the generator. From a safety point of view, the product has an automatic shut-off for low oil and an overload protection (circuit breaker), so you can use it without worrying. The XP7500DX also has the CO Alert carbon monoxide shut-off feature from DuroMax.If CO levels get too high too quickly, the generator will shut down automatically, a red light will come on, and the engine won’t start again for 5 minutes. It’s a nice extra safety measure, but don’t forget to take your generator outside at all times. The DuroMax XP7500DX comes with a tool kit, oil, and a propane hose, as well as the usual documentation and an owner’s manual to get you up and running quickly.Mobility
The DuroMax XP7500DX is 27 inches long, 21 inches wide, and 20 inches tall.
Together with its traditional, open-frame design, they support the generator and allow it to be raised above the ground. The generator is built to work well outside and in rough places. The generator weighs 148 pounds, so it may be hard to move or transport it by hand, even though it is technically a “portable” generator (movable).Still, the generator is easy to move once it’s on the ground, thanks to its wheel kit and folding handle, which is a good way to make up for its lack of maneuverability.Product Videos

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
Small American power equipment manufacturer Duromax is headquartered in Ontario, California.
Pumps, engines, pressure washers, and power generators are among the many goods in which Duromax excels. The company’s only concentration in this area is on portable generators, primarily those with small and medium power outputs as well as dual fuel devices.Although construction of Duromax generators is outsourced to other countries, they are designed and serviced in the US.DuroMax, which was established in 2003, has begun to emerge as a significant force in the market for power generators.Warranty Information
The warranty for the DuroMax XP7500DX lasts for up to 5 years.
This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Check out DuroMax’s warranty policies if you want to know more about the warranty on DuroMax generators. You can also call their customer service line at 1-844-DUROMAX (844-387-6629).
