Description
The Genmax GM9000iED’s dual-fuel technology lets it put out 120/240V and gives it a lot of power and flexibility. If it is powered by gasoline, the device has a running power of 7,600W and a starting power of 9,000W. If it’s powered by propane, it gives 7200 watts at full power and 8550 watts when starting up. Also, because it can work in parallel (GM9000PK is not included), its power can be increased by connecting it to a second unit that works with it. The noise level of the inverter generator is set at 62 dBA (little noisier than an office setting). It has both a simple pull-start mechanism and an electric starter that is easy to use and convenient (battery included). To make things even easier, the GM9000iED can be turned on from a distance (key fob included). With a full tank of gas, the GM9000iED, which holds 6.9 gallons, can run for up to 14.5 hours (fuel consumption is approximately 0.48 GPH). It can run for up to 7 hours if propane is used (estimation based on a 20 lbs tank – propane consumption around 0.67 GPH). The GM9000iED makes a clean sine wave with a Total Harmonic Distortion of 3%, so it’s safe to plug sensitive electronics into an AC outlet (THD).
Outlets
Two 120V 20A (5-20R) GFCI duplexes, a 120/240V 30A (L14-30R) receptacle, and a 120/240V 50A (14-50R) receptacle are all on the control panel.
It also has 2 DC outlets: there are two 5V USB ports (USB-A) that make it easy to charge devices like cell phones and tablets. The GM9000iED is ready for a transfer switch because it has a twist-lock L14-30R receptacle. If the power goes out, you can easily connect it to a breaker box and keep your home running.Features
The GM9000iED’s control panel has a digital data center that shows information about the power output, lifetime run hours, frequency, and voltage.
This helps you keep track of its status and activity. In addition to this information, the generator has a number of lights that tell you when it is ready, when its oil level is too low, and when it is overloaded. The inverter generator has a built-in fuel gauge that makes it easy to see at a glance how much gas is in the tank.As for safety features, the device has a circuit breaker for overheating and an automatic shut-off for low oil, so you can use it without worry. It also has the CO DETECT technology from Genmax, which checks the amount of carbon monoxide in the air while the generator is running. If the generator isn’t set up right and carbon monoxide levels get too high, the generator will turn off by itself. It’s a nice extra safety measure, but don’t forget to take your generator outside at all times. The Genmax GM9000iED comes with basic instructions and an owner’s manual to help you start the generator quickly. It also comes with a tool kit, funnel, key fob, and propane hose, among other things.Mobility
The Genmax GM9000iED is an inverter generator, so its closed design (L30.9 x W22.6 x H29.3 in) looks better than traditional devices with open frames.
The generator has a modern look and is easy to use when generating power for fun.The generator weighs 243.6 pounds, so it may be hard to move or transport it by hand, even though it is technically a “portable” generator (movable).Still, it’s easy to move around thanks to its two wheels (dia:7 “) and its handle that folds up, once it’s on the ground.Product Videos

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
