The A-iPower SC2400iP has an 80cc Yamaha OHV 4-stroke engine that puts out 120V, uses gasoline, and puts out 1,900W at full power and 2,400W when running. Also, the device can work in parallel (it comes with a parallel kit) and can be linked to a similar or compatible device for more power. This inverter generator has a noise level of 52 dBA, which is just a little louder than a quiet suburb. It starts up with a traditional pull-start mechanism. The SC2400iP can run for up to 10 hours on a full tank of 1.1 gallons of gas (fuel consumption is approximately 0.11 GPH). The SC2400iP makes a clean sine wave. With a Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of less than 3%, you can safely plug your sensitive electronics into the AC outlets.
On the control panel, there are 3 AC outlets for: Duplex 120V 20A (5-20R); 120V 30A (L5-30R) receptacle. Also, it has 3 DC outlets: a 12V 8A receptacle (like a cigarette lighter), which makes it easy to charge your batteries, and two 5V USB ports (USB-A), which make it easy to charge devices like cell phones and tablets. This A-iPower generator is not RV Ready, but an L5-30P to TT-30R adaptor can be used to connect it to an RV easily (included).
One of the many features of the SC2400iP is its control panel, which has a data center. The data center gives you information about the lifetime run hours, power output, frequency, voltage, and fuel level. In addition to this information, the light indicators will let you know when the oil level is too low, the generator is ready, or the generator is overloaded. For safety, the generator has an automatic low oil shut-off and an overload protection (circuit breaker), so you can use it without worrying. It also has a sensor for carbon monoxide. This sensor is meant to measure the amount of carbon monoxide in the air while the generator is running. If the generator isn’t set up right and carbon monoxide levels get too high, the generator will turn off by itself. It’s a nice extra safety measure, but don’t forget to take your generator outside at all times. The A-iPower SC2400iP package comes with basic instructions and an owner’s manual that will help you start the generator right away.It also comes with an RV adapter, tool kit, funnel, oil, and battery charging cables.
The A-iPower SC2400iP is an inverter generator with the following dimensions: L22 x W14 x H20 in, So, it looks better than most other products with open frames. This kind of design is the most modern and easy way to make power for fun.Since the SC2400iP weighs only 51.8 lbs, you can take it anywhere you need power. Also, its two 4-inch-diameter wheels and telescoping handle make it easy to move once it’s on the ground.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
A-iPower, a small US-based business, is a new player in the generator industry. They sell engines, water pumps, pressure washers, and of course generators as part of their product line.Numerous conventional and inverted portable generators, many of which feature an electric starter, are available from A-iPower.The business has a number of locations, including a distribution hub in Wisconsin and a headquarters in California. But the entire manufacturing of their products is outsourced to China.
A warranty covers the A-iPower SC2400iP for up to 3 years. This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.A-iPower generators come with a warranty that you can find out more about by calling A-iPower Customer Support at 1-855-888-3598.
