The Champion 100111’s core is the 717 cc Champion 4-stroke V-Twin engine, which runs on gasoline. With an output of 120/240V, it provides a running wattage of 12,000W and a peak wattage of 15,000W. Enjoying a noise rating of 78 dBA (less noisy than a dishwasher), this generator gets running thanks to a convenient and easy-to-use electric starter (battery included) (battery included). The fuel capacity of 10.9 gallons allows the 100111 to operate for around 9 hours at 0.5 load with a full tank (fuel consumption is approximately 1.21 GPH) (fuel consumption is approximately 1.21 GPH). The 100111 is unsuitable for the powering of sensitive electronic devices due to its relatively high THD (<20%).
The control panel has 7 AC outlets: two 120V 20A (5-20R) GFCI duplexes, a 120V 30A (L5-30R) receptacle, a 120/240V 30A (L14-30R) receptacle, and a 120/240V 50A (14-50R) receptacle. This Champion generator isn’t quite RV Ready, but it features an L5-30R receptacle, allowing a simple RV connection through an L5-30P to TT-30R adaptor. The 100111 is also ready for a transfer switch because it has a twist-lock L14-30R receptacle. If the power goes out, you can easily connect it to a breaker box and keep your home running.
In the control center of the 100111, there is an Intelligauge meter that shows voltage, frequency, and lifetime hours to help you keep track of its status and activity. For safety, the generator has an overload protection (circuit breaker) and an automatic low oil shut-off, so you can use it without worrying.Volt GuardTM, which is built into Champion, protects your equipment and appliances from voltage spikes. The Champion 100111 comes with oil and a funnel, as well as a classic set of instructions and an owner’s manual to get you up and running quickly.
The Champion 100111 is 33.9 inches long, 31.1 inches wide, and 33.1 inches high.Together with its traditional, open-frame design, they support the generator and allow it to be raised above the ground. The generator is built to work well outside and in rough places.Even though this generator is technically “portable” in the sense that it can be moved, it weighs 329.6 pounds, which makes it very hard to move by hand.Still, its wheel kit (dia:12) makes it easy to move “) and its handle that folds up, once it’s on the ground.A lift hook on the top of the generator’s frame adds another layer of safety when moving, loading, or unloading the device.
The following charts show how some of the most important features of the Champion-100111 compare to other generators with the same power output.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
Champion Power Equipment is an American company that has been making power tools since 2003.The small company has made a name for itself in the portable generator business and in the power equipment business in general, with a focus on heavy duty equipment like log cutters, snow blowers, chipper shredders, etc.Every one of their products is made in the US.But the company does not say anything about where their parts come from.
There is a warranty on the Champion 100111 for up to 3 years. This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Champion’s warranty policies can tell you more about how long the warranty on a Champion generator lasts. You can also call their customer service line at 1-877-338-0999.
