With its dual-fuel technology, the Champion 100307 gives you 120V, power, and a lot of options. When powered by gasoline, it has a running wattage of 3,500W and a maximum wattage of 4,375W. When powered by propane, it has a rated 3150 watts and a peak of 3950 watts. The generator has a noise level of 68 dBA, which is quieter than background music. It has a simple pull-start mechanism. With a fuel capacity of 3.4 gallons, the 100307 can run for about 9 hours at 0.5 load on a full tank of gasoline (fuel consumption is approximately 0.38 GPH). It can last up to 10.5 hours with propane (on a 20 lbs tank – propane consumption around 0.45 GPH). Because the 100307 has a THD of about 20%, it shouldn’t be used to power sensitive electronics.
The control panel has 4 AC outlets: a 120V 20A (5-20R) duplex outlet, a 120V 30A (L5-30R) outlet, and a 120V 30A (TT-30R) outlet.This Champion generator is ready for an RV because it has a TT-30R plug.TT stands for “Travel Trailer”.
Because the 100307 has an Intelligauge meter that shows voltage, frequency, and lifetime hours, its status and activity may be easily monitored from the control panel. You can use the gadget with confidence because to its security features, which include an automated low oil shut-off and overload protection (circuit breaker).Volt GuardTM, a built-in surge protector from Champion, protects your appliances and electronic devices against voltage peaks. In addition to the customary paperwork and owner’s guide to get you up and running quickly, Champion packaged the 100307 with a propane pipe.
The Champion 100307 is 23.2 inches long, 19.1 inches wide, and 20 inches high.Together with its traditional, open-frame design, they support the generator and allow it to be raised above the ground. The device was made to work well in harsh conditions and in the great outdoors. The generator is technically “portable” in the sense that you can move it, but at 104.9 lbs., it may be hard to move it by hand.If you want to make the generator easier to move around, it might be a good idea to buy an official wheel kit as well.
The following charts show how some of the most important features of the Champion-100307 compare to other generators with the same power output.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
A US-based producer of power equipment, Champion Power Equipment was established in 2003.The comparatively tiny business has established a name for itself in the portable generator market as well as the larger power equipment market, with a concentration on heavy duty machinery like log cutters, snow blowers, chipper shredders, etc.Their whole product line is American-engineered.The corporation does not, however, disclose the country of origin of its parts.
There is a warranty on the Champion 100307 for up to 3 years. This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Champion’s warranty policies can tell you more about how long the warranty on a Champion generator lasts. You can also call their customer service line at 1-877-338-0999.
