Description
With its dual-fuel technology, the Champion 100899 gives you 120V, power, and a lot of options. When powered by gasoline, it has a running wattage of 1,850W and a maximum wattage of 2,500W. When powered by propane, it has a rated 1665 watts and a peak of 2500 watts. Also, the generator can be connected to a second unit to make more power (ParaLink is not included). The noise level of the inverter generator is said to be 53 dBA (just slightly more noisy than a quiet suburb). It uses a simple, traditional pull-start mechanism to get going. With 1.1 gallons of gas, the 100899 can run for up to 11.5 hours (fuel consumption is approximately 0.1 GPH). It can run for up to 34 hours if propane is used (on a 20 lbs tank – propane consumption around 0.14 GPH). The 100899 makes a clean sine wave with a Total Harmonic Distortion of 3%, so you can safely plug in sensitive electronics (THD).
Outlets
The control panel has the following two AC outlets: Duplex 120V 20A (5-20R).
It also has 2 DC outlets: there are two 5V USB ports that make it easy to charge devices like cell phones or tablets.Features
Several lights tell you when the generator is ready, when the oil level is too low, and when the generator is overloaded.
When it comes to safety, this product has a circuit breaker for overheating and an automatic shut-off for low oil, so you can use it without any worries. The Champion 100899 comes with oil, a funnel, and a propane hose, as well as the standard paperwork and an owner’s manual to get you up and running quickly.Mobility
The Champion 100899 is an inverter generator, so its closed design (L17.3 x W11.5 x H17.7 in) looks better than traditional devices with open frames.
This kind of design is the most modern and easy way to make power for fun.The 100899 is a portable generator that weighs only 39.5 pounds.A single person should be able to move it around easily and get power wherever they go.The case is also made with a handle that makes it easy to carry and adds to its convenience.Product Videos

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
A US-based producer of power equipment, Champion Power Equipment was established in 2003.
The comparatively tiny business has established a name for itself in the portable generator market as well as the larger power equipment market, with a concentration on heavy duty machinery like log cutters, snow blowers, chipper shredders, etc.Their whole product line is American-engineered.The corporation does not, however, disclose the country of origin of its parts.Warranty Information
There is a warranty on the Champion 100899 for up to 3 years.
This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Champion’s warranty policies can tell you more about how long the warranty on a Champion generator lasts. You can also call their customer service line at 1-877-338-0999.
