The Champion 100900’s dual-fuel technology lets it put out 120V and gives it great power and versatility. If it is powered by gasoline, the device has a running power of 1,700W and a starting power of 2,000W. If it runs on propane, it has a rated power of 1530 watts and a starting power of 2000 watts. Also, since it can work in parallel (ParaLink is not included), you can link it to a second compatible unit to double its power. The noise level of the inverter generator is 53 dBA, which is just a little louder than a conversation at home. It has a simple pull-start mechanism. With a full tank of gas, the 100900, which has a fuel capacity of 1.1 gallons, can run for up to 11.5 hours (fuel consumption is approximately 0.1 GPH). It can run for up to 34 hours on propane (on a 20 lbs tank – propane consumption around 0.14 GPH). You can safely plug sensitive electronics into the AC outlets because the 100900 makes a clean sine wave with a Total Harmonic Distortion of less than 3%. (THD).
The control panel has the following two AC outlets: duplex 120V 20A (5-20R).It also has 1 DC outlet, which is a 12V 8A receptacle that looks like a cigarette lighter. This makes it easy to charge your batteries.Since the unit comes with a dual port USB adapter, you can also use the DC receptacle to easily charge devices like cell phones and tablets.
There are several lights that let you know when the generator is ready, when the oil level is too low, and when the generator is too busy.As for safety features, the device has a circuit breaker for overheating and an automatic shut-off for low oil, so you can use it without worry. The Champion 100900 comes with a dual port USB adapter, a funnel, a propane hose, and oil, as well as the usual paperwork and an owner’s manual to get you up and running quickly.
Since the Champion 100900 is an inverter generator, its enclosed design (L17.3 x W11.5 x H17.7 in) looks better than a traditional open frame product. The generator has a modern look and is easy to use when generating power for fun.The 100900 is a portable generator that is light and weighs only 39.5 lbs.The power of the product can be used on the go, since it is easy for one person to move. Its case has a handle that makes it easy to carry. This makes it even more convenient.
The following charts show how some of the most important features of the Champion-100900 compare to other generators with the same power output.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
A US-based producer of power equipment, Champion Power Equipment was established in 2003.The comparatively tiny business has established a name for itself in the portable generator market as well as the larger power equipment market, with a concentration on heavy duty machinery like log cutters, snow blowers, chipper shredders, etc.Their whole product line is American-engineered.The corporation does not, however, disclose the country of origin of its parts.
There is a warranty on the Champion 100900 for up to 3 years. This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Champion’s warranty policies can tell you more about how long the warranty on a Champion generator lasts. You can also call their customer service line at 1-877-338-0999.
