The Champion 200913 is made with a 224 cc OHV 4-stroke engine that runs on gasoline. It has a 120V output and a running power of 3,500W and a peak power of 4,250W. Also, since it can work in parallel (but doesn’t come with a parallel kit), this power can be increased by connecting it to another unit that works with it. The noise level of this inverter generator is 64 dBA, which is just a little louder than a normal conversation. It can be started with a simple pull-start or a simple and elegant electric starter (battery included). For even more convenience, you can also start the 200913 from a distance (key fob included). With its 4 gallon fuel tank, the 200913 can run for up to 22 hours on a single tank (fuel consumption is approximately 0.18 GPH). The 200913 makes a clean sine wave with a Total Harmonic Distortion of 3%, so it’s safe to plug sensitive electronics into an AC outlet (THD).
The control panel has 3 AC outlets: a duplex 120V 20A (5-20R) outlet, a 120V 30A (TT-30R) outlet, and a 120V 20A (TT-20R) outlet. It also has two DC outlets and two 5V USB ports, which make it easy to charge devices like cell phones and tablets. The TT-30R plug on this Champion generator is ready for an RV.TT stands for “Travel Trailer”.
The 200913 has an Intelligauge meter on the control panel that shows voltage, frequency, and lifetime hours. This helps you keep track of its status and activity. In addition to this information, the generator has a number of lights that tell you when it is too full, when it needs more oil, and when it is ready. The inverter generator has a built-in fuel gauge that makes it quick, easy, and convenient to find out how much gas is in it.When it comes to safety, this product has an automatic low oil shut-off and an overload protection (circuit breaker), so you can use it without worry. The Champion 200913 comes with the basic paperwork and an owner’s manual, which makes it easy to start the generator. It also comes with oil, a funnel, and a key fob.
The Champion 200913 is 27.9 inches long, 23.4 inches wide, and 21.7 inches tall.It has a typical open frame design that makes it stable and allows it to be raised above ground level. The design works well in rough places and for hard outdoor use.The 200913 can go anywhere because it only weighs 90 pounds. With its wheel kit (diameter: 8 “Once it’s on the floor, it’s easy to move because of the wheels and the handle that folds up.
The following charts show how some of the most important features of the Champion-200913 compare to other generators with the same power output.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
A US-based producer of power equipment, Champion Power Equipment was established in 2003.The comparatively tiny business has established a name for itself in the portable generator market as well as the larger power equipment market, with a concentration on heavy duty machinery like log cutters, snow blowers, chipper shredders, etc.Their whole product line is American-engineered.The corporation does not, however, disclose the country of origin of its parts.
There is a warranty on the Champion 200913 for up to 3 years. This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Champion’s warranty policies can tell you more about how long the warranty on a Champion generator lasts. You can also call their customer service line at 1-877-338-0999.
