Description
The powerful and versatile Champion 200961 gives off 120V thanks to its dual-fuel technology. Even though it runs on gasoline, it has a running wattage of 1,850W and a peak wattage of 2,500W. It is powered by propane and has a rated output of 1665 watts and a starting output of 2500 watts. The device can also work in parallel (ParaLink is not included), which means it can be connected to a similar or compatible unit to get more power. The noise level of the inverter generator is said to be 53 dBA (just slightly more noisy than a quiet suburb). It has a pull-start mechanism, which is a common way to start a motor. The EZ Start Dial on Champion makes it easy to start the engine and get to all the controls you need. With a fuel capacity of 1.1 gallons, the 200961 can run on gasoline for up to 11.5 hours (using about 0.1 GPH) or on propane for up to 34 hours (using about 0.14 GPH) on a 20 lb tank. The 200961 makes a clean sine wave with a Total Harmonic Distortion of 3%, so it’s safe to plug sensitive electronics into an AC outlet (THD).
Outlets
The control panel has two AC outlets for the following: Duplex 120V 20A (5-20R).
Also, it has 1 DC outlet: a 12V 8A plug that looks like a cigarette lighter so you can easily charge your batteries.Since the unit comes with a dual port USB adapter, you can also use the DC receptacle to easily charge devices like cell phones and tablets.Features
The lights on the device will show if the generator is overloaded, if it doesn’t have enough oil, or if it’s ready to go.
When it comes to safety, this product has a circuit breaker for overheating and an automatic shut-off for low oil, so you can use it without any worries. The Champion 200961 comes with a dual port USB adapter, oil, a funnel, and a propane hose, as well as the usual paperwork and an owner’s manual to get you up and running quickly.Mobility
Since the Champion 200961 is an inverter generator, its enclosed design (L17.3 x W12 x H17.7 in) looks better than a traditional open frame product.
This kind of design is the most modern and easy way to make power for fun.The 200961 is a lightweight portable generator because it only weighs 39 pounds. The power of the product can be used on the go, since it is easy for one person to move. The case is also made with a handle that makes it easy to carry and adds to its convenience.Product Videos

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
A US-based producer of power equipment, Champion Power Equipment was established in 2003.
The comparatively tiny business has established a name for itself in the portable generator market as well as the larger power equipment market, with a concentration on heavy duty machinery like log cutters, snow blowers, chipper shredders, etc.Their whole product line is American-engineered.The corporation does not, however, disclose the country of origin of its parts.Warranty Information
There is a warranty on the Champion 200961 for up to 3 years.
This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Champion’s warranty policies can tell you more about how long the warranty on a Champion generator lasts. You can also call their customer service line at 1-877-338-0999.
