The Champion 200967 has a 120V output and great power and versatility thanks to its dual-fuel technology. If it is powered by gasoline, the device has a running power of 3,500W and a starting power of 4,375W. If it runs on propane, it has a rated power of 3150 watts and a starting power of 3950 watts. The noise level of the generator is 68 dBA, which is less than a normal conversation. It has a simple pull-start mechanism. As for how long it can run, the 200967, which has a fuel capacity of 4.7 gallons, can run for about 14 hours at 0.5 load with a full tank of gasoline (fuel consumption is approximately 0.34 GPH). It can run for about 10.5 hours if propane is used (on a 20 lbs tank – propane consumption around 0.45 GPH). Since the 200967 has a THD of about 20%, it shouldn’t be used to power electronics that are sensitive to noise.
The control panel has 4 AC outlets: a 120V 20A (5-20R) duplex outlet, a 120V 30A (L5-30R) outlet, and a 120V 30A (TT-30R) outlet.The TT-30R plug on this Champion generator is ready for an RV.TT stands for “Travel Trailer”.
The 200967’s control panel has an Intelligauge meter that shows voltage, frequency, and hours of use. This helps you keep track of its status and activity.A built-in fuel gauge makes it easy and quick to check how much gas is in the generator. As far as safety goes, the device has an automatic shut-off for low oil and a circuit breaker for overheating, so you can use it without worrying.Volt GuardTM, which is built into Champion, protects your equipment and appliances from voltage spikes. While the standard documentation and an owner’s manual , helpful for starting the device promptly, come with the Champion 200967, the following accessories are also included: propane hose, funnel, oil and cover.
The Champion 200967 is made with a typical open frame that measures L23.4 x W19.7 x H19.8 in, This gives it support and stability and gives you the option to raise it off the ground. This type of design is great for tough environments and heavy outdoor use.Even though the generator is technically considered to “be portable,” it will be very hard to move it by hand because it weighs 108 pounds (in the sense that it is movable). If you want to make the generator easier to move around, it might be a good idea to buy an official wheel kit as well.
The following charts show how some of the most important features of the Champion-200967 compare to other generators with the same power output.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
A US-based producer of power equipment, Champion Power Equipment was established in 2003.The comparatively tiny business has established a name for itself in the portable generator market as well as the larger power equipment market, with a concentration on heavy duty machinery like log cutters, snow blowers, chipper shredders, etc.Their whole product line is American-engineered.The corporation does not, however, disclose the country of origin of its parts.
There is a warranty on the Champion 200967 for up to 3 years. This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Champion’s warranty policies can tell you more about how long the warranty on a Champion generator lasts. You can also call their customer service line at 1-877-338-0999.
