The Champion 200993 has a 212 cc OHV 4-stroke engine that drives it. It runs on gasoline and has a running wattage of 3,650W and a peak wattage of 4,650W. It gives off 120V. Also, since it can work in parallel (ParaLink is not included), this power can be increased by connecting it to another unit that works with it. The inverter generator has a noise rating of 61 dBA, which is just a little louder than a normal conversation. It has a pull-start mechanism and an easy-to-use electric starter (battery included). The EZ Start Dial on Champion makes it easy to start the engine and get to all the controls you need. The 200993 can also be started from a distance, which makes it even more convenient (key fob included). The 200993 can run for up to 14 hours on a full tank (using about 0.16 GPH of fuel), thanks to its 2.3-gallon fuel tank. The 200993 makes a clean sine wave. With a Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of less than 3%, you can safely plug your sensitive electronics into the AC outlets.
On the control panel, there are 3 AC outlets for: Duplex 120V 20A (5-20R); 120V 30A (TT-30R) receptacle. It also has 1 DC outlet, which is a cigarette lighter-style 12V 8A receptacle that makes it easy to charge your batteries.Since the unit comes with a dual port USB adapter, you can also use the DC receptacle to easily charge devices like cell phones and tablets. This Champion generator is ready for an RV because it has a TT-30R plug.TT stands for “Travel Trailer”.
The 200993’s control panel has a digital Intelligauge data center that tells you how many hours it has been running, its voltage, and how much power it is putting out. This lets you keep track of its status and activity. In addition, the lights tell you if the oil level is too low, if the generator is ready, and if it is overloaded. The inverter generator has a built-in fuel gauge that makes it quick, easy, and convenient to check how much gas it has. When it comes to safety, this product has a circuit breaker for overheating and an automatic shut-off for low oil, so you can use it without any worries. The Champion 200993 comes with a key fob, a tool kit, oil, a funnel, and a dual port USB adapter. It also comes with the standard paperwork and an owner’s manual to help you get started right away.
The Champion 200993’s unique encased inverter generator design (L23.2 x W17.7 x H20.1) makes it look better than any other open-frame product. The design shown here is in line with the latest trends and is great for easy and fun use.The generator is technically “portable” in the sense that you can move it, but at 101 pounds, it may be hard to move it by hand.Still, the generator is easy to move once it’s on the ground. This is because it has two 5″ wheels and a folding handle, which makes up for the fact that it’s not very maneuverable.
The following charts show how some of the most important features of the Champion-200993 compare to other generators with the same power output.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
A US-based producer of power equipment, Champion Power Equipment was established in 2003.The comparatively tiny business has established a name for itself in the portable generator market as well as the larger power equipment market, with a concentration on heavy duty machinery like log cutters, snow blowers, chipper shredders, etc.Their whole product line is American-engineered.The corporation does not, however, disclose the country of origin of its parts.
There is a warranty on the Champion 200993 for up to 3 years. This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Champion’s warranty policies can tell you more about how long the warranty on a Champion generator lasts. You can also call their customer service line at 1-877-338-0999.
