Description
The Champion 200994 has a 120V output and great power and versatility thanks to its dual-fuel technology. If it is powered by gasoline, the device has a running power of 3,650W and a starting power of 4,650W. If it runs on propane, it has a rated power of 3285 watts and a starting power of 4650 watts. The device can also work in parallel (ParaLink is not included), which means it can be connected to a similar or compatible unit to get more power. This inverter generator has a noise level of 61 dBA, which is just a little louder than an office. It can be started with a pull-start mechanism or a simple and elegant electric starter (battery included). The EZ Start Dial on Champion makes it easy to start the engine and get to all the controls you need. With 2.3 gallons of gas, the 200994 can run for up to 14 hours (fuel consumption is approximately 0.16 GPH). It can run for up to 21 hours on propane (on a 20 lbs tank – propane consumption around 0.22 GPH). The 200994 makes a clean sine wave with a Total Harmonic Distortion of 3%, so it’s safe to plug sensitive electronics into an AC outlet (THD).
Outlets
On the control panel, there are 3 AC outlets for: Duplex 120V 20A (5-20R); 120V 30A (TT-30R) receptacle.
It also has 1 DC outlet: a 12V 8A plug that looks like a cigarette lighter so you can easily charge your batteries.Since the unit comes with a dual port USB adapter, you can also use the DC receptacle to easily charge devices like cell phones and tablets. This Champion generator is ready for an RV because it has a TT-30R (TT stands for “Travel Trailer”) plug.Features
A digital Intelligauge data center, which is part of the 200994’s control panel, makes it possible to check on its status and activity.
The data center gives information on the voltage, lifetime run hours, and power output. In addition to this information, there are a number of lights that tell you when the generator is overloaded, when it’s ready to go, and when the oil level is too low.The inverter generator has a built-in fuel gauge that makes it easy and quick to check the fuel level. In terms of safety, the generator can be used without worry because it has an automatic shut-off for low oil and an overload protection (circuit breaker).Along with the basic paperwork and an owner’s manual, which will help you get the generator going right away, the Champion 200994 comes with oil, a dual-port USB adapter, a funnel, a tool kit, and a propane hose. You can also buy a storage cover that is made by the company.Mobility
Since the Champion 200994 is an inverter generator, its closed design (L23.2 x W17.7 x H20.1) makes it look better than traditional devices with open frames.
The design fits with what’s popular now and is perfect for generating power for fun.Even though this device is technically portable (meaning it can be moved), it can be hard to move and use without special tools because it weighs 103 pounds.Once it’s on the ground, though, it can still be moved easily with the help of its two 5-inch-diameter wheels and folding handle.Product Videos

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
A US-based producer of power equipment, Champion Power Equipment was established in 2003.
The comparatively tiny business has established a name for itself in the portable generator market as well as the larger power equipment market, with a concentration on heavy duty machinery like log cutters, snow blowers, chipper shredders, etc.Their whole product line is American-engineered.The corporation does not, however, disclose the country of origin of its parts.Warranty Information
There is a warranty on the Champion 200994 for up to 3 years.
This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Champion’s warranty policies can tell you more about how long the warranty on a Champion generator lasts. You can also call their customer service line at 1-877-338-0999.
