Description
The Champion 201035’s dual-fuel technology lets it put out 120/240V and gives it great power and versatility. If the device is powered by gasoline, it has a running power of 8,000W and a starting power of 10,000W. If it runs on propane, it has a rated power of 7200 watts and a starting power of 9000 watts. The generator has both a pull-start mechanism and an electric starter that is easy to use and convenient (battery included). It has a noise level of 74 dBA (Slightly louder than a shower). With a fuel capacity of 7.7 gallons, the 201035 can run for about 10 hours at 0.5 load with a full tank of gasoline (fuel consumption is approximately 0.77 GPH). If propane is used, it can run for about 5 hours (on a 20 lbs tank – propane consumption around 0.94 GPH). Since the THD of the 201035 is fairly high (20%), it shouldn’t be used to power sensitive electronics.
Outlets
There are 6 AC outlets on the control panel: two 120V 20A (5-20R) GFCI duplexes, a 120/240V 30A (L14-30R) receptacle, and a 120/240V 50A (14-50R) receptacle.
Since it has a 14-50R outlet, this Champion unit is ready for use with an RV with a 50-amp service. The 201035 is also ready for a transfer switch because it has a twist-lock L14-30R receptacle. If the power goes out, you can easily connect it to a breaker box and keep your home running.Features
The 201035’s control panel has an Intelligauge meter that shows voltage, frequency, and the number of hours the battery will last.
This makes it easier to keep track of its status and activity. The generator has a built-in fuel gauge that makes it quick, easy, and convenient to check how much gas is in it.When it comes to safety, this product has a circuit breaker for overheating and an automatic shut-off for low oil, so you can use it without any worries.Volt GuardTM, which is built into Champion, protects your equipment and appliances from voltage spikes. The Champion 201035 comes with the usual paperwork and an owner’s manual , which lets you start it right away.It also comes with a funnel, an oil hose, and a propane hose.Mobility
With dimensions of L28.7 x W28.5 x H25.8 in, the Champion 201035 is a traditional, open-frame generator that is stable and can be raised above ground level.
The generator is built to work well outside and in rough places. The generator weighs 203 pounds, so it may be hard to move or transport it by hand, even though it is technically a “portable” generator (movable).Still, once it’s on the ground, its wheel kit (dia:9.5 “), and its folding handle can easily fix the problem of limited mobility and make the device easy to move.Product Videos

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
A US-based producer of power equipment, Champion Power Equipment was established in 2003.
The comparatively tiny business has established a name for itself in the portable generator market as well as the larger power equipment market, with a concentration on heavy duty machinery like log cutters, snow blowers, chipper shredders, etc.Their whole product line is American-engineered.The corporation does not, however, disclose the country of origin of its parts.Warranty Information
There is a warranty on the Champion 201035 for up to 3 years.
This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Champion’s warranty policies can tell you more about how long the warranty on a Champion generator lasts. You can also call their customer service line at 1-877-338-0999.
