Description
The DuroMax XP10000E is made with a gasoline-powered DuroMax OHV 4-stroke engine with 440 cc and 18 hp. It has an output voltage of 120/240V and a running wattage of 8,000W and a peak wattage of 10,000W. This generator is 72 dBA loud, which is just a little bit louder than a shower. It can be started with a pull-start or a simple and elegant electric starter (battery included). With 8.3 gallons of fuel, the XP10000E can run for about 10 hours at 0.5 load if the tank is full (fuel consumption is approximately 0.83 GPH). The XP10000E can’t be used to power sensitive electronics because its THD is quite high (12%).
Outlets
The control panel has 5 AC outlets: a duplex 120V 20A (5-20R) GFCI outlet, a 120V 30A (L5-30R) outlet, a 120/240V 30A (L14-30R) outlet, and a 120/240V 50A (14-50R) outlet.
It also has 1 DC outlet with a 12V 8A output, which makes it easy to charge your batteries.Since it has a 14-50R outlet, this DuroMax unit is ready for an RV with a 50-amp service if you have one. With an L5-30P to TT-30R adaptor, its L5-30R plug can also be used to connect a simple RV.The XP10000E also has a twist-lock L14-30R receptacle, which makes it ready for a transfer switch. This means that it can power your home when the power goes out, as it can be easily connected to your breaker box.Features
The XP10000E’s control panel has a handy voltmeter that lets you check the power output at any time to keep track of its status and activity.
Along with this information, a light lets you know right away if the oil level is too low.The generator has a built-in fuel gauge that makes it quick, easy, and convenient to check how much gas is in the machine. In terms of safety, the generator can be used without worry because it has an automatic shut-off for low oil and an overload protection (circuit breaker). The DuroMax XP10000E comes with the usual paperwork and an owner’s manual , which lets you start using it right away.It also comes with a funnel and a tool kit.You can also buy a storage cover that is made by the company.Mobility
The DuroMax XP10000E is 29 inches long, 30 inches wide, and 26 inches high.
Together with its traditional, open-frame design, they support the generator and allow it to be raised above the ground. The device was made to work well in harsh conditions and in the great outdoors.Even though this device is technically portable (meaning it can be moved), it weighs 218 pounds and can be hard to move and use without special tools. But its wheel kit and folding handle make it easy to move once it’s on the ground, which makes up for its lack of maneuverability.Product Videos

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
Small American power equipment manufacturer Duromax is headquartered in Ontario, California.
Pumps, engines, pressure washers, and power generators are among the many goods in which Duromax excels. The company’s only concentration in this area is on portable generators, primarily those with small and medium power outputs as well as dual fuel devices.Although construction of Duromax generators is outsourced to other countries, they are designed and serviced in the US.DuroMax, which was established in 2003, has begun to emerge as a significant force in the market for power generators.Warranty Information
A warranty covers the DuroMax XP10000E for up to 3 years.
This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Check out DuroMax’s warranty policies if you want to know more about the warranty on DuroMax generators. You can also call their customer service line at 1-844-DUROMAX (844-387-6629).
