Description
The powerful and versatile DuroMax XP9000iH has a 120/240V output thanks to its dual-fuel technology. Even though it runs on gasoline, it has a running wattage of 7,600W and a peak wattage of 9,000W. It runs on propane and has a rated power of 7200 watts and a starting power of 8550 watts. Also, since the generator can work in parallel (but does not come with an XP9000iH-PK parallel kit), it can be linked to a second unit to make more power. Switch On Demand is a feature of DuroMax that lets you switch from gasoline to propane or propane to gasoline while the generator is running. This inverter generator has a noise level of 68 dBA, which is quieter than background music. It can be started with a simple pull-start mechanism, but it also has an easy-to-use electric starter (battery included). The XP9000iH can also be started from a distance for added convenience (key fob included). With a fuel capacity of 6.9 gallons, the XP9000iH can run for up to 20 hours on a full tank of gasoline (fuel consumption is approximately 0.35 GPH). It can last up to 9 hours if you use propane (on a 20 lbs tank – propane consumption around 0.52 GPH). The XP9000iH makes a clean sine wave. With a Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of less than 3%, you can safely plug your sensitive electronics into the AC outlets.
Outlets
Two 120V 20A (5-20R) GFCI duplexes and a 120/240V 30A (L14-30R) receptacle are among the 5 AC outlets on the control panel.
It also has 2 DC outlets: there are two 5V USB ports (1 x USB-A and 1 x USB-C) that make it easy to charge devices like cell phones and tablets. The XP9000iH is ready for a transfer switch because it has a twist-lock L14-30R receptacle. If the power goes out, you can easily connect it to a breaker box and keep your home running. The unit also has an ATS plug, which makes it work with automatic transfer switches.Features
The XP9000iH’s control panel has a digital data center that shows information about the power output, lifetime run hours, voltage, and frequency.
This helps you keep track of its status and activity. In addition to this information, the generator has some lights that let you know right away if it is overloaded, if the oil level is too low, or if it is ready. The inverter generator has a built-in fuel gauge that makes it easy to see at a glance how much gas is in the tank.As for safety features, the device has a circuit breaker for overheating and an automatic shut-off for low oil, so you can use it without worry. The CO Alert carbon monoxide shutdown feature from DuroMax is also helpful for the XP9000iH.If CO levels get too high too quickly, the generator will shut down automatically, a red light will come on, and the engine won’t start again for 5 minutes. It’s a nice extra safety measure, but don’t forget to take your generator outside at all times. The DuroMax XP9000iH comes with basic instructions and an owner’s manual to help you start the generator quickly. It also comes with a key fob, propane hose, tool kit, battery charger, and funnel, among other things.Mobility
The DuroMax XP9000iH is an inverter generator, and its closed design (L27 x W21 x H25 in) makes it look better than traditional devices with open frames.
This kind of design is the most modern and easy way to make power for fun.The generator weighs 237 pounds, so it may be hard to move or transport it by hand, even though it is technically a “portable” generator (movable).Still, once it’s on the ground, its four wheels (diameter: 4.5 “), and its folding handle can easily fix the problem of limited mobility and make the device easy to move.Product Videos

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
Small American power equipment manufacturer Duromax is headquartered in Ontario, California.
Pumps, engines, pressure washers, and power generators are among the many goods in which Duromax excels. The company’s only concentration in this area is on portable generators, primarily those with small and medium power outputs as well as dual fuel devices.Although construction of Duromax generators is outsourced to other countries, they are designed and serviced in the US.DuroMax, which was established in 2003, has begun to emerge as a significant force in the market for power generators.Warranty Information
A warranty covers the DuroMax XP9000iH for up to 3 years.
