Description
A 212 cc OHV 4-stroke engine powers the ECHO EGi-3600LN. It has a 120V output, runs on gas, and has a running wattage of 3,000W and a peak wattage of 3,600W. Also, the device can work in parallel (but doesn’t come with a parallel kit), so it can be linked to a similar or compatible unit for more power. The noise level of the inverter generator is 63 dBA, which is just a little louder than a normal conversation. It has a simple pull-start mechanism and a simple and elegant electric starter (battery included). With a full tank, the EGi-3600LN can run for about 8.5 hours at 0.5 load (using about 0.26 GPH of fuel), because it has a 2.2-gallon fuel capacity. The EGi-3600LN makes a clean sine wave. With a Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of less than 5%, you can safely plug sensitive electronics into its AC outlets.
Outlets
The control panel has 3 AC outlets: a duplex 120V 20A (5-20R) receptacle, a 120V 30A (L5-30R) receptacle, and a 120V 20A (5-20R) receptacle.
It also has 3 DC outlets: a 12V 8A receptacle that makes it easy to charge batteries and two 5V USB ports that make it easy to charge devices like cell phones and tablets. This ECHO generator isn’t quite RV Ready, but it has an L5-30R receptacle that makes it easy to hook it up to an RV with an L5-30P to TT-30R adapter.Features
A handy compartment on the top of the unit makes it easy and convenient to keep maintenance tools on board.
The EGi-3600LN’s control panel has a digital data center that tells you how much fuel is left, how much power it is putting out, and how many hours it has run so far. This helps you keep track of its activity and status. In addition to this information, the device’s lights will show if the generator is ready, if it is overloaded, or if it doesn’t have enough oil. From a safety point of view, the product has an automatic shut-off for low oil and an overload protection (circuit breaker), so you can use it without worrying. The EGi-3600LN comes with the usual paperwork and owner’s manual to help you get started right away.ECHO also included a tool kit.Mobility
Since the ECHO EGi-3600LN is an inverter generator, its enclosed design (L25.3 x W18.9 x H19.6 in) looks better than a traditional open frame product.
This kind of design is the most modern and easy way to make power for fun.The generator is technically “portable” in the sense that you can move it, but at 107 pounds, it may be hard to move it by hand. But the lack of maneuverability is made up for by its two wheels and folding handle, which make it easy to move once it’s on the ground.Product Videos

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
