Description
The Energizer EG4050 is made with a gasoline-powered OHV 4-stroke engine that is 212 cc and has 7 hp. It has an output voltage of 120/240V and a running wattage of 3,000W and a peak wattage of 4,050W. It has a pull-start mechanism, which is a common way to start a motor. With a 4 gallon fuel tank, the EG4050 can run for about 10.6 hours at 0.5 load on a full tank (fuel consumption is approximately 0.38 GPH).
Outlets
The control panel has 5 AC outlets: two 120V 20A (5-20R) duplex outlets and a 120/240V 30A (L14-30R) receptacle.
The EG4050 is ready for a transfer switch because it has a twist-lock L14-30R receptacle. If the power goes out, you can easily connect it to a breaker box and keep your home running.Features
The EG4050’s control panel has a digital data center that tells you the voltage so you can keep an eye on how it is doing and what it is doing.
In addition to this information, there is a light that lets you know when the oil level is too low.A built-in fuel gauge makes it easy and quick to check how much gas is in the generator. In terms of safety, the generator can be used without worry because it has a circuit breaker for overheating and an automatic shut-off when the oil level gets too low.Aside from the features we’ve already talked about, the Energizer EG4050 also comes with the basic paperwork and an owner’s manual, so you can start using it right away. The following charts show how some of the most important features of the Energizer EG4050 compare to other generators with the same amount of power (between 2500 and 3500 W).If you own the Energizer EG4050, do you agree or disagree with the pros and cons listed here? Write your own review and tell us what you think.Unlike many other sites, we tried to find out as much as we could about each of the above specs.Even so, we still make mistakes and forget things from time to time.If you see any missing or wrong values, don’t be afraid to suggest changes so we can fix the problem. This form does not send us any personal information, not even your IP address.Energizer Holdings, Inc.was founded in 1896 and is best known as an American battery maker. It makes Energizer, Varta, Rayovac, and Eveready batteries, among others. But in its long history, Energizer has worked in many fields, including making power generators. The power generators made by Energizer Brands LLC, a subsidiary of Energizer Holdings, Inc., are mostly portable and come in both traditional and inverted designs. All Energizer generators are made in other countries, but they are designed and serviced in North America. The warranty for the Energizer EG4050 lasts for up to 3 years. This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts. For more information about Energizer generator warranties, call 1-877-528-3772 and ask for Energizer Customer Support. Not able to find the right answer? Ask your own question.Your name and email address won’t be shared with the public. We only need them to be able to answer you directly. You can compare as many generators as you want. But if you want the best results, you should only compare two generators at a time.Mobility
The Energizer EG4050 has a standard, open frame that is 25 inches long, 22.6 inches wide, and 21 inches high.
This frame gives it support and lets it be raised off the ground. The design shown is great for the outdoors and other rough places. The generator is technically “portable” because it can be moved, but at 102 pounds, it may be hard to move it by hand.Once it is on the ground, it can still be moved easily with the help of its wheels and folding handle.Product Videos

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
