Description
A Generac OHV 4-stroke engine with 212 cc powers the Generac iQ3500. It has a 120V output, runs on gas, and has a running wattage of 3,000W and a peak wattage of 3,500W. Also, since it can work in parallel (the Generac 7668 Parallel kit is not included), its power can be doubled if it is connected to a second unit that works with it. This inverter generator has both a pull-start mechanism and an electric starter that is easy to use and convenient (battery included). It has Generac’s PowerDialTM, which is an easy-to-use dial with three settings for how the generator works. Due to its 2.6-gallon fuel capacity, the iQ3500 can run for up to 14.1 hours on a full tank, which is about 0.18 GPH. The iQ3500 makes a clean sine wave with a Total Harmonic Distortion of less than 3%. This means that sensitive electronics can be plugged into AC outlets without fear (THD).
Outlets
The control panel has 3 AC outlets: a duplex 120V 20A (5-20R) receptacle, a 120V 30A (L5-30R) receptacle, and a 120V 20A (5-20R) receptacle.
It also has 2 DC outlets: there are two 5V USB ports that make it easy to charge devices like cell phones or tablets.Even though this Generac generator is not RV Ready, an L5-30P to TT-30R adaptor can be used to easily connect it to an RV.Features
The iQ3500’s control panel has a digital data center that shows the lifetime run hours, fuel level, power output, and remaining run time.
This helps you keep track of its status and activity. In addition to this, the lights tell you if there isn’t enough oil, if the generator is overloaded, and if it’s ready to use.In terms of safety, the generator can be used without worry because it has a circuit breaker for overheating and an automatic shut-off when the oil level gets too low.The Generac iQ3500 comes with the standard paperwork and an owner’s manual , which lets you start it right away.It also comes with a tool kit, a funnel, and oil.Mobility
Since the Generac iQ3500 is an inverter generator, its enclosed design (L23.7 x W18 x H21.7 in) looks better than a traditional open frame product.
The design fits with what’s popular now and is perfect for generating power for fun.Even though this device is technically portable (meaning it can be moved), it can be hard to move and use it without special tools because it weighs 109.1 pounds. So, you might also want to think about getting a wheel kit like this one for this generator.Product Videos
The following charts show how some of the most important features of the Generac-7127-iQ3500 compare to other generators with the same power output.
**Fuel efficiency is give in relative percentage, 0 being the lowest and 1 being the highest value. Please see below specification table for actual value.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
Founded in 1959, Generac Power Systems is an American manufacturer of power tools and generators.
Generac’s primary business is, as its name implies, the manufacture of power generators as well as other electrically related products like switches, paralleling systems, and tiny engines. The corporation has multiple US-based production facilities, thus its goods are produced there. The company, however, doesn’t disclose where the components they use were made.Warranty Information
The warranty for the Generac iQ3500 lasts for up to 3 years.
This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Generac’s warranty policies can tell you more about how long generators are covered by warranty. You can also call their customer service line at 1-888-GENERAC (888-436-3722).
