The Genmax GM2200i has a 79.7 cc Dinking OHV 4-stroke engine that gives off 120V, uses gasoline, and puts out 1,800W while running and 2,200W at its peak. Also, since it can work in parallel (but doesn’t come with a parallel kit), its power can be doubled by connecting it to a second unit that works with it. The noise level of the inverter generator is 58 dBA, which is quieter than rain. It is started with a pull-start mechanism. With a gallon of gas, the GM2200i can run for up to 8 hours (fuel consumption is approximately 0.13 GPH). The GM2200i makes a clean sine wave. With a Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of less than 3%, you can safely plug your sensitive electronics into the AC outlets.
On the control panel, there are two 120V 20A duplex outlets (5-20R).It also has 2 DC outlets: there are two 5V USB ports (USB-A) that make it easy to charge devices like cell phones and tablets.
Several lights let you know when the generator is too busy, when the oil level is too low, and when it’s ready to go.When it comes to safety, this product has an automatic low oil shut-off and an overload protection (circuit breaker), so you can use it without worry. It also has the CO DETECT technology from Genmax, which checks the amount of carbon monoxide in the air while the generator is running. If the generator isn’t set up right and carbon monoxide levels get too high, the generator will turn off by itself. It’s a nice extra safety measure, but don’t forget to take your generator outside at all times. The Genmax GM2200i comes with a tool kit and a funnel, as well as the usual documentation and an owner’s manual to get you up and running quickly.
The Genmax GM2200i looks better than a typical open frame generator because it has a closed inverter generator (L18.9 x W11.4 x H17.3 in).The generator has a modern look and is easy to use when generating power for fun.The GM2200i is a portable lightweight generator because it only weighs 41.9 lbs.Since one person can move it without much trouble, the generator and its power can be used anywhere. The case is also made with a handle that makes it easy to carry and adds to its convenience.
The following charts show how some of the most important features of the Genmax-GM2200i compare to other generators with the same power output.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
The Chongqing Dinking Power Machinery Co.LTD., which was established in 2010 and is currently based in Chongqing, China, has just registered the new portable generator trademark GENMAX.Dinking focuses in the general motor sector and produces construction equipment, water pumps, water generators, and portable generators for export. The exclusive agreement Dinking has with Hyundai and its standing as the fifth-ranked Chinese exporter of general motors are among its most remarkable accomplishments (2016).A sizable assortment of gas-powered generators in all popular wattage categories may be found in the GENMAX brand portfolio.
A warranty covers the Genmax GM2200i for up to a year. This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Genmax generators come with a warranty that you can learn more about by calling Genmax Customer Support at 1-866-960-2920.
