Description
The Honda EU3200i has a Honda GX130 OHV 4-stroke engine with 130 cc. It runs on gasoline and has a running wattage of 2,600W and a peak wattage of 3,200W. It gives off 120V. Also, since it can work in parallel (but doesn’t come with a parallel kit), this power can be doubled by connecting it to another unit that works with it. The pull-start mechanism on the inverter generator is standard. It has a noise level of 54 dBA (not much louder than a conversation at home). The Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system makes the engine more reliable, uses less fuel, starts better, needs less maintenance, works better with stale fuel, and works better at higher altitudes. Due to its 1.2 gallon fuel tank, the EU3200i can run for up to 8.6 hours on a full tank (using about 0.14 GPH of fuel). The EU3200i makes a clean sine wave with a Total Harmonic Distortion of 3%, so it is safe to plug sensitive electronics into AC outlets (THD).

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
