The Pulsar PG13000BRCO is powerful and flexible, thanks to its dual-fuel technology that lets it run on both 120V and 240V. When it is run by gasoline, it has a running wattage of 10,200W and a peak wattage of 13,000. When powered by propane, it has a rated 9200 watts and a peak of 11500 watts. With Pulsar’s patented Switch & Go technology, you can switch from propane to gasoline or from gasoline to propane while the generator is running. The generator can make up to 81 dBA of noise (just slightly more noisy than an alarm clock). It has both a simple pull-start mechanism and an electric starter that is easy to use and convenient (battery included). To make things even easier, the PG13000BRCO can be turned on from a distance (key fob included). With a fuel capacity of 9.5 gallons, the PG13000BRCO can run for about 9.5 hours at 0.5 load with a full tank of gasoline (fuel consumption is approximately 1 GPH). It can run for about 3.5 hours if you use propane (estimation based on a 20 lbs tank – propane consumption around 1.34 GPH).

Two 120V 20A (5-20R) GFCI duplexes, a 120V 30A (L5-30R) receptacle, a 120/240V 30A (L14-30R) receptacle, and a 120/240V 50A (14-50R) receptacle are all on the control panel.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
