The Pulsar PG15KVTWBCO is powerful and flexible, thanks to its dual-fuel technology that lets it run on both 120V and 240V. It has a running wattage of 12,000W and a peak wattage of 15,000W when it is powered by gasoline. When powered by propane, it has a rated 11000 watts and a peak of 13500 watts. The generator has a noise level of 83 dBA, which is just a little louder than an alarm clock. It is started with an electric starter that is both simple and elegant (battery included). With a fuel capacity of 10.6 gallons, the PG15KVTWBCO can run for about 9 hours at 0.5 load on gasoline (fuel consumption is approximately 1.18 GPH). If you use propane instead, it can run for about 3 hours (estimated based on a 20-lb tank; propane uses about 1.57 GPH).
The control panel has 7 AC outlets: two 120V 20A (5-20R) GFCI duplexes, a 120V 30A (L5-30R) receptacle, a 120/240V 30A (L14-30R) receptacle, and a 120/240V 50A (14-50R) receptacle. This Pulsar generator isn’t quite RV-ready, but it has an L5-30R receptacle that makes it easy to hook it up to an RV with an L5-30P to TT-30R adapter. The PG15KVTWBCO is also ready for a transfer switch because it has a twist-lock L14-30R receptacle. You can connect it to a breaker box to power your home when the power goes out.
On the control panel of the PG15KVTWBCO is a handy meter that shows voltage, frequency, and lifetime hours. This makes it easier to keep track of its status and activity. In addition to this information, there is a light that lets you know when the oil level is too low.The generator has a built-in fuel gauge that makes it quick, easy, and convenient to check how much gas is in it.When it comes to safety, this product has a circuit breaker for overheating and an automatic shut-off for low oil, so you can use it without any worries. The unit also works well because Pulsar’s CO Sentry can detect carbon monoxide. The sensor checks to see if poisonous carbon monoxide gas is building up around the generator, and if it is, it turns off the engine. It’s a nice extra safety measure, but don’t forget to take your generator outside at all times. The Pulsar PG15KVTWBCO package comes with a funnel, a tool kit, and a propane hose, as well as the basic paperwork and an owner’s manual that will help you start the generator right away.
The Pulsar PG15KVTWBCO is 34.3 inches long, 23.2 inches wide, and 28.9 inches high.It has a typical open frame design that makes it stable and lets the generator be raised off the ground. The device was made to work well in harsh conditions and in the great outdoors.Even though this device is technically portable (meaning it can be moved), it can be hard to move and use without special tools because it weighs 348 pounds.Once it’s on the ground, though, its wheel kit (dia:12 “), and its folding handle can easily fix the problem of limited mobility and make the device easy to move. The device also has a lift hook on the top of its frame, which makes loading, unloading, and moving the generator safer.
The following charts show how some of the most important features of the Pulsar-PG15KVTWBCO compare to other generators with the same power output.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
Pulsar is a registered brand name for Pulsar Products Inc., which is based in California, USA.The company has a good selection of air compressors, pressure washers, and, of course, generators. The generators range from 1.2 kW to 10 kW and come in dual fuel and RV-Ready models.Pulsar has a number of locations in the US, including two distribution centers, one in California and the other in Illinois. But it looks like their products are made in Asia, which is far away from where they are sold.
There is a warranty on the Pulsar PG15KVTWBCO for up to 2 years. This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Pulsar generators come with a warranty that you can learn more about by calling Pulsar Customer Support at 1-866-591-8921.
