Description
The Sportsman GEN2200DFi’s dual-fuel technology lets it put out 120V and gives it a lot of power and versatility. If it is powered by gasoline, the device has a running power of 1,800W and a starting power of 2,200W. If it’s powered by propane, it gives 1600 watts at full power and 1900 watts when starting up. Also, since it can work in parallel (but does not come with a Sportsman PC30A cable), this power can be doubled by connecting it to another similar or compatible unit. The pull-start mechanism on the inverter generator is standard. It can make up to 60 dBA of noise (just as noisy as a normal conversation). With a fuel capacity of 1 gallon, the GEN2200DFi can run for about 7 hours at 0.5 load using gasoline (fuel consumption is approximately 0.14 GPH). If you use propane instead, it can run for about 18 hours on a 20-pound tank (propane uses about 0.26 GPH). The GEN2200DFi makes a clean sine wave with a Total Harmonic Distortion of less than 5%, so it’s safe to plug sensitive electronics into AC outlets (THD).
Outlets
The control panel has the following two AC outlets: duplex 120V 20A (5-20R).
It also has 2 DC outlets: a 12V 8A receptacle that makes it easy to charge your batteries and a 5V USB port that makes it easy to charge devices like cell phones and tablets.Features
The lights on the device will show if the generator is overloaded, if it is ready, or if it doesn’t have enough oil.
In terms of safety, the generator can be used without worry because it has an automatic shut-off for low oil and an overload protection (circuit breaker). The Sportsman GEN2200DFi comes with standard paperwork and an owner’s manual that will help you get the device up and running quickly. It also comes with battery charging cables, a tool kit, a funnel, and a propane hose.Mobility
Since the Sportsman GEN2200DFi is an inverter generator, its closed frame (L19.2 x W12 x H18.1 in) makes it look better than traditional devices with open frames.
The generator has a modern look and is easy to use when generating power for fun.The GEN2200DFi, which is called a lightweight portable generator, weighs only 45 lbs.The generator is easy for one person to move, so it can be used anywhere. The handle built into the case makes it even easier to carry.Product Videos

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
