Description
The Westinghouse WGen7500DFc’s dual-fuel technology lets it put out 120/240V and gives it a lot of power and flexibility. If it is powered by gasoline, the device has a running power of 7,500W and a starting power of 9,500W. If it runs on propane, it has a rated power of 6750 watts and a starting power of 8550 watts. The generator has both a simple and elegant pull-start mechanism and an electric starter (battery included). It can make up to 72 dBA of noise (A tad noisier than a vacuum cleaner). The WGen7500DFc can also be started from a distance, which makes it even more convenient (key fob included). With a full 6.6-gallon fuel tank, the WGen7500DFc can run for up to 16 hours (fuel consumption is approximately 0.6 GPH). It can run for up to 11 hours if propane is used (on a 20 lbs tank – propane consumption around 0.43 GPH). Due to the WGen7500DFc’s relatively high THD (23%), it is not a good idea to use it to power sensitive electronic devices.
Outlets
Two 120V 20A (5-20R) GFCI duplex outlets and a 120/240V 30A (L14-30R) receptacle are on the control panel.
It also has 2 DC outlets: there are two 5V USB ports (USB-A) that make it easy to charge devices like cell phones and tablets. The WGen7500DFc has a twist-lock L14-30R receptacle, which means it is ready for a transfer switch. It can power your home during a power outage because it is easy to connect to your breaker box.Features
The status and activity of the WGen7500DFc can be easily checked on the control panel, which has a meter that shows voltage, frequency, and lifetime hours.
The generator has a built-in fuel gauge that makes it quick, easy, and convenient to check how much gas is in the machine. As far as safety goes, the device has an automatic shut-off for low oil and a circuit breaker for overheating, so you can use it without worrying. It also has a sensor for carbon monoxide. This sensor is meant to measure the amount of carbon monoxide in the air while the generator is running. If the generator isn’t set up right and carbon monoxide levels get too high, the generator will turn off by itself. It’s a nice extra safety measure, but don’t forget to take your generator outside at all times. The Westinghouse WGen7500DFc comes with a key fob, a propane hose, a tool kit, a battery charger, oil, and a funnel. It also comes with basic paperwork and an owner’s manual, which will help you start the generator right away. You can also buy a storage cover that is made by the company.Mobility
The Westinghouse WGen7500DFc is 27.2 inches long, 26.1 inches wide, and 26 inches high.
Together with its traditional, open-frame design, they support the generator and allow it to be raised above the ground. The device was made to work well in harsh conditions and in the great outdoors. The generator is technically “portable” in the sense that you can move it, but at 202.1 lbs., it may be hard to move it by hand. But its wheel kit (dia:10) makes up for the fact that it is hard to move around “) and a folding handle that makes it easy to move once it’s on the ground.Product Videos

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
The Westinghouse Electric Corporation was established in 1886, and its heritage business, Westinghouse Outdoor Power Equipment, is situated in the US.
The Westinghouse name continues to be the brand name for many of its electrical solutions, which range throughout the scale from power plants to portable generators, despite the fact that the firm has been acquired and integrated into the American CBS.The primary product of Westinghouse’s Outdoor Power Equipment division, portable generators were previously produced by Westpro Power Systems, which Midwest Equipment acquired in 2016.Under the Westinghouse brand, lawn tools including trimmers and blowers are also offered for sale.Their entire line of items is American-designed.However, according to a number of sites, they are frequently made in China.Warranty Information
There is a warranty on the Westinghouse WGen7500DFc for up to 3 years.
This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Check out Westinghouse’s warranty policies if you want to know more about the warranty on Westinghouse generators. You can also call their customer service line at 1-855-944-3571.
