The Westinghouse WH2200iXLT has a Westinghouse OHV 4-stroke engine with 79 cc and 3 hp. It has a 120V output, runs on gas, and has a running wattage of 1,800W and a peak wattage of 2,200W. Also, because it can work in parallel (but doesn’t come with a Westinghouse WHPC Parallel Cord), this power can be doubled if it is connected to another similar or compatible unit. This inverter generator has a noise rating of 52 dBA, which is just a little louder than rain. It starts up with a simple pull-start mechanism. Due to its 1.3-gallon fuel capacity, the WH2200iXLT can run for up to 13 hours on a full tank. It uses about 0.1 GPH of fuel per hour. The WH2200iXLT makes a clean sine wave. With a Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of less than 3%, you can safely plug your sensitive electronics into the AC outlets.
The control panel has two AC outlets for the following: Duplex 120V 20A (5-20R).It also has 1 DC outlet: a 12V 8A receptacle that lets you charge batteries easily.
There are some lights that let you know right away if the generator is ready, if it is overloaded, or if the oil level is too low.In terms of safety, the generator can be used without worry because it has a circuit breaker for overheating and an automatic shut-off when the oil level gets too low.The Westinghouse WH2200iXLT comes with basic instructions and an owner’s manual that will help you start the generator quickly. It also comes with a funnel, a tool kit, and oil.You can also buy a storage cover that is made by the company.
The encased inverter generator design of the Westinghouse WH2200iXLT (L20 x W12.5 x H17.5 in) makes it look better than any ordinary open frame product. The goal of this modern design is to give recreational users the best way to get power. The WH2200iXLT is a portable lightweight generator because it only weighs 43 pounds.A single person should be able to move it around easily and get power wherever they go.Its case has a handle that makes it easy to carry. This makes it even more convenient.
The following charts show how some of the most important features of the Westinghouse-WH2200iXLT compare to other generators with the same power output.

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
The Westinghouse Electric Corporation was established in 1886, and its heritage business, Westinghouse Outdoor Power Equipment, is situated in the US.The Westinghouse name continues to be the brand name for many of its electrical solutions, which range throughout the scale from power plants to portable generators, despite the fact that the firm has been acquired and integrated into the American CBS.The primary product of Westinghouse’s Outdoor Power Equipment division, portable generators were previously produced by Westpro Power Systems, which Midwest Equipment acquired in 2016.Under the Westinghouse brand, lawn tools including trimmers and blowers are also offered for sale.Their entire line of items is American-designed.However, according to a number of sites, they are frequently made in China.
There is a warranty on the Westinghouse WH2200iXLT for up to 3 years. This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Check out Westinghouse’s warranty policies if you want to know more about the warranty on Westinghouse generators. You can also call their customer service line at 1-855-944-3571.
