Description
The DuroMax XP13000X houses a 500 cc OHV 4-stroke engine, which provides 120/240V, consumes gasoline and delivers a running wattage of 10,500W along with a peak wattage of 13,000W. This generator has a noise level of 74 dBA, which is just a little louder than a dishwasher. It can be started with a pull-start mechanism or a simple and elegant electric starter (battery included). Thanks to a fuel capacity of 8.3 gallons, the XP13000X can operate for around 8.5 hours at 0.5 load with a full tank (fuel consumption is approximately 0.98 GPH) (fuel consumption is approximately 0.98 GPH). Since the XP13000X has a somewhat high THD (<12%), it is advisable to not use it for the powering of sensitive electronic devices.
Outlets
Two 120V 20A (5-20R) GFCI duplexes, a 120V 30A (L5-30R) receptacle, a 120/240V 30A (L14-30R) receptacle, and a 120/240V 50A (14-50R) receptacle are all on the control panel.
Even though this DuroMax generator isn’t quite RV Ready, its L5-30R receptacle makes it easy to connect to an RV with an L5-30P to TT-30R adaptor. The XP13000X is also ready for a transfer switch because it has a twist-lock L14-30R receptacle. If the power goes out, you can easily connect it to a breaker box and keep your home running.Features
The XP13000X’s control panel has a handy meter that shows voltage, frequency, and lifetime hours.
This makes it easy to keep track of its status and activity. In addition to this information, the featured light indicator will let you know when the oil level is too low.A built-in fuel gauge makes it easy and quick to check how much gas is in the generator. When it comes to safety, this product has an automatic low oil shut-off and an overload protection (circuit breaker), so you can use it without worry. The XP13000X also has the CO Alert carbon monoxide shut-off feature from DuroMax.If CO levels get too high too quickly, the generator will shut down automatically, a red light will come on, and the engine won’t start again for 5 minutes. It’s a nice extra safety measure, but don’t forget to take your generator outside at all times. The DuroMax XP13000X package comes with basic instructions and an owner’s manual that will help you start the generator right away.It also comes with a funnel and a tool kit.Mobility
The DuroMax XP13000X has a standard, open frame that is 30 inches long, 29 inches wide, and 26 inches high.
This frame gives it support and lets it be lifted off the ground. This type of design is great for tough environments and heavy outdoor use.Even though this device is technically portable (meaning it can be moved), it weighs 240 pounds and can be hard to move and use without special tools.Still, once it’s on the ground, its wheels and folding handle make it easy to move.Product Videos

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
Duromax is a small company in the United States that makes power tools.
Its headquarters are in Ontario, California.Duromax makes pumps, engines, pressure washers, and, most importantly, power generators. In this way, the company only makes portable generators and devices that can use both gas and electricity as fuel. The generators made by Duromax are designed and serviced in the US, but their production is done in other countries.Since its start in 2003, DuroMax is becoming known as a major player in the market for power generators.Warranty Information
The warranty for the DuroMax XP13000X lasts for up to 5 years.
