Description
With its dual-fuel technology, the A-iPower SUA6000ED is a powerful and versatile generator that can put out either 120V or 240V. Even though it runs on gasoline, it has a running wattage of 5,500W and a peak wattage of 6,000W. It is powered by propane and has a rated power of 5000 watts and a starting power of 5500 watts. Switch On Demand is a feature of A-iPower that lets you switch from gasoline to propane or propane to gasoline while the generator is running. The generator has a noise level of 78 dBA, which is quieter than a dishwasher. It has both a traditional pull-start and an easy-to-use electric starter (battery included). With a full tank of gasoline, the SUA6000ED, which has a fuel capacity of 4 gallons, can run for about 6.5 hours at 0.5 load (fuel consumption is approximately 0.62 GPH). If propane is used, it can run for about 5 hours (estimation based on a 20 lbs tank – propane consumption around 0.94 GPH). Due to its high THD (20%), the SUA6000ED is not a good choice for powering sensitive electronic devices.
Outlets
There are 3 AC outlets on the control panel: a duplex 120V 20A (5-20R) GFCI outlet and a 120/240V 30A (L14-30R) outlet.
It also has 1 DC outlet, which is a cigarette lighter-style 12V 8A receptacle that makes it easy to charge your batteries. The SUA6000ED is ready for a transfer switch because it has a twist-lock L14-30R receptacle. It can be easily connected to a breaker box and can power your home if the power goes out.Features
The SUA6000ED’s control panel has a digital data center that tells you how many hours it has been running for its whole life.
This helps you keep track of its activity and status. In addition to this information, there is a light that lets you know when the oil level is too low.A built-in fuel gauge makes it easy and quick to check how much gas is in the generator. For safety, the generator has an automatic low oil shut-off and an overload protection (circuit breaker), so you can use it without worrying. The A-iPower SUA6000ED comes with basic instructions and an owner’s manual that will help you start the generator quickly. It also comes with a propane hose, oil, and a battery charger.Mobility
The A-iPower SUA6000ED has a traditional, open frame that measures L24.4 x W18.9 x H22.5 in, This frame gives it support and lets it be lifted off the ground.
The device was made to work well in harsh conditions and in the great outdoors. The generator is technically “portable” because it can be moved, but at 157.7 pounds, it may be hard to move it by hand.Still, its wheel kit (dia:7.5) makes it easy to move “) and its handle that folds up, once it’s on the ground.Product Videos

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
A-iPower, a small US-based business, is a new player in the generator industry.
They sell engines, water pumps, pressure washers, and of course generators as part of their product line.Numerous conventional and inverted portable generators, many of which feature an electric starter, are available from A-iPower.The business has a number of locations, including a distribution hub in Wisconsin and a headquarters in California. But the entire manufacturing of their products is outsourced to China.Warranty Information
A warranty covers the A-iPower SUA6000ED for up to 2 years.
This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.A-iPower generators come with a warranty that you can find out more about by calling A-iPower Customer Support at 1-855-888-3598.
