Description
The Firman P05706 has a 389 cc Firman Max-Pro Series OHV 4-stroke engine that runs on gasoline, puts out 120/240V, and has a running wattage of 5,700W and a maximum wattage of 7,125W. The generator has a simple pull-start mechanism that has been used for a long time. It has a noise level of 74 dBA (slightly noisier than running a dishwasher With an 8-gallon fuel tank, the P05706 can run for about 13 hours at 0.5 load if the tank is full (fuel consumption is approximately 0.62 GPH). Since the P05706 has a THD of about 25%, it is best not to use it to power electronics that are sensitive to noise.
Outlets
The control panel has 6 AC outlets: two 120V 20A (5-20R) duplexes, a 120V 30A (L5-30R) plug, and a 120V/240V 30A (L14-30R) plug.
Even though this Firman generator isn’t quite RV Ready, its L5-30R receptacle makes it easy to connect to an RV with an L5-30P to TT-30R adaptor. The P05706 is also ready for a transfer switch because it has a twist-lock L14-30R receptacle. You can connect it to a breaker box to power your home when the power goes out.Features
The status and activity of the P05706 can be easily checked on the control panel, which has a meter that shows voltage, frequency, and lifetime hours.
In addition to this information, a light shows you if the oil level is too low.The generator has a built-in fuel gauge that makes it quick, easy, and convenient to check how much gas is in the machine. From a safety point of view, the product has a circuit breaker for overload protection and an automatic shut-off for low oil, so you can use it without worry. The Firman P05706 comes with a tool kit, oil, and a funnel, as well as the usual paperwork and an owner’s manual to get you up and running right away.Mobility
The Firman P05706 is 28.4 inches long, 27.5 inches wide, and 26.8 inches high.
Together with its traditional, open-frame design, they support the generator and allow it to be raised above the ground. The design shown is great for the outdoors and other rough places.Even though this device is technically portable (meaning it can be moved), it can be hard to move and use it without special tools because it weighs 178 pounds. It is hard to move around, but its wheel kit (dia:10) makes it possible “Once it’s on the floor, it will be easier to move because of the handle that folds down.Product Videos

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
Firman Power Equipment is a business with a recent but reputable history in the power equipment sector.
It was founded in 1999.The Arizona-based business provides a vast array of goods, including power tools, automotive equipment, storage items, work clothing, but its assortment of generators of different shapes, sizes, and outputs stands out above the rest.Interestingly, Firman serves as a de facto distributor of China National Machinery Industry Corporation’s goods in the US and is a fully owned subsidiary of that business.Warranty Information
A warranty covers the Firman P05706 for up to 3 years.
This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Check out Firman’s warranty policies if you want to know more about the warranty on a Firman generator. You can also call their customer service line at 1-844-FIRMAN1 (844-347-6261).
