Description
The gasoline-powered Westinghouse OHV 4-stroke engine with 420 cc and 13 hp is the heart of the Westinghouse WH7500v. It has a 120/240V output and a running power of 6,000W and a peak power of 7,500W. This generator is 72 dBA loud, which is just a little louder than a shower. It can be started with a simple pull-start or a simple and elegant electric starter (battery included). With a full tank, the WH7500v can run for up to 18 hours on its 6.6-gallon fuel tank (fuel consumption is approximately 0.51 GPH). Due to the WH7500v’s relatively high THD (23%), it’s not a good idea to use it to power sensitive electronics.
Outlets
Two 120V 20A (5-20R) GFCI duplexes and a 120/240V 30A (L14-30R) receptacle are among the 5 AC outlets on the control panel.
The WH7500v is ready for a transfer switch because it has a twist-lock L14-30R receptacle. It can be easily connected to a breaker box and can power your home if the power goes out.Features
The WH7500v’s control center has a handy meter that shows voltage, frequency, and lifetime hours.
This helps you keep track of its status and activity. The generator has a built-in fuel gauge that makes it quick, easy, and convenient to check how much gas is in the machine. As far as safety goes, the device has an automatic shut-off for low oil and a circuit breaker for overheating, so you can use it without worrying. The Westinghouse WH7500v comes with the standard paperwork and an owner’s manual, which will help you get the machine going quickly. Also included are a funnel, oil, and a tool kit.Mobility
The Westinghouse WH7500v is made with a typical open frame that is L27.2 x W26.1 x H26 in, This gives it support and stability and lets it be raised above ground level.
The design works well in rough places and for hard outdoor use.Even though this device is technically portable (meaning it can be moved), it can be hard to move and use it without special tools because it weighs 174 pounds. It is hard to move around, but its wheel kit (dia:10) makes it possible “Once it’s on the floor, it will be easier to move because of the handle that folds down.Product Videos

- We compared more than 500 portable generators at 50% load. We found that there is “skewed right” distribution for the difference between 50% load and 25% load and the median comes at 1.43. With this number we converter all the 25% load runtime to 50% load. Same with the propane efficiency, where median is 1.38.
- For some generators where propane runtime was not given, we used NIST 1994 GGE (Gasoline Gallon Equivalent) formula: 5.66 lbs. of propane = 1 gal of gasoline. All propane runtime is for 20 lbs. propane tank (4.7 gallons).
- Unlike many other sites, we actually tried to find out information about each of the above requirements. However, we are human and are therefore capable of the odd oversight or mistake. Please let us know if you spot any missing or erroneous values so that we can fix them.
About the Manufacturer
The Westinghouse Electric Corporation was established in 1886, and its heritage business, Westinghouse Outdoor Power Equipment, is situated in the US.
The Westinghouse name continues to be the brand name for many of its electrical solutions, which range throughout the scale from power plants to portable generators, despite the fact that the firm has been acquired and integrated into the American CBS.The primary product of Westinghouse’s Outdoor Power Equipment division, portable generators were previously produced by Westpro Power Systems, which Midwest Equipment acquired in 2016.Under the Westinghouse brand, lawn tools including trimmers and blowers are also offered for sale.Their entire line of items is American-designed.However, according to a number of sites, they are frequently made in China.Warranty Information
A warranty covers the Westinghouse WH7500v for up to 3 years.
This warranty may not cover all parts of the generator or may only cover certain parts.Check out Westinghouse’s warranty policies if you want to know more about the warranty on Westinghouse generators. You can also call their customer service line at 1-855-944-3571.
